Appearance:
While not a big guy, Cloud Strife certainly is strong. While he stands under six feet, he’s lean. While no one would expect someone of his stature to lift the sword he uses realistically, his small, muscular build allows him to wield his weapon effectively as well as perform acrobatic feats. The most noticeable features he has are his crystal blue eyes and spiky blonde hair. He wears a navy blue, sleeveless turtleneck, with matching gloves and boots, with silver wolf studs on the shoulder and the cuffs.
Personality: Cloud had a strong belief in justice and what’s right and will follow that. He’s devoted to his friends, to the point where he’ll fight to his dying breath to protect them. He’s shown to be rather friendly with people and have a relaxed, yet focused personality. He also has a soft spot towards children and has helped out many an orphan after the fall of Midgar. For anyone that has crossed him or done harm to him or to someone he knows, he will show no mercy.
Abilities/Strengths: As one of Minerva’s Knights, Cloud carries a part of the Goddess within him. It was this part that undid the damage done to his mind and body by the Jenova cells and the experiments that Hojo performed on him. As a result, while Cloud may still be human, he is far from being normal. He possesses superhuman abilities that put him on the level of Sephiroth in all physical aspects. It was because of this that he was able to lift the Buster Sword like it was part of him, unlike how he had to strain to use it against Sephiroth back in the reactor. It is also due to the goddess’s gift that he has either slowed or stopped aging all together, remaining the same age he was when Zack pulled him out of the tank. He is also immune to illness (including Geostigma) and can heal rapidly.
Cloud has also become quite the swordsman due to the journey he undertook when trying to find the answer to his missing time and trying to stop Sephiroth. Even now he still continues to hone his skills. In addition to being able to use Materia (and having a decent selection thanks to Yuffie), Cloud is able to manipulate Spirit Energy and use it in combination with his own attacks, amplifying the damage that is done to any enemy. This is shown most of all when performing his limit breaks.
Weaknesses: While enhanced and gifted, Cloud is still only human. He can be killed though it would not be an easy task. Another weakness is his compassion for others and his own moral code. Should someone take an innocent person as a shield or use children as part of his/her plan, Cloud would be conflicted and would not attack in anyway way that would harm them. Instead he would try to find another way, even as he is being attacked/injured by that enemy.
Notable Possessions:
Minerva’s Blessing- A new sword that Cloud himself created, which is actually several swords that combine to form one. He named the sword Minerva’s Blessing in honor of the Goddess, feeling it just felt right.
He also has Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga, Curaga and Esuna materia with him, as Yuffie gave to him to ‘level up’ for her.
Lastly, a simple engagement ring for the girl he was potting to propose to.
